Buddha Shakyamuni embodies the search for spiritual enlightenment and knowledge. He is therefore revered as a role model for the path to liberation from suffering and the attainment of inner peace and wisdom.

His right hand touches the ground at the moment of enlightenment to claim Mother Earth as a witness. This hand position is typical of the Shakyamuni Buddha and at the same time testifies to the earthly bond.

Small stone elements are painstakingly attached to the brass figure by hand, giving it its richly colored and detailed appearance.
