Bhumisparsa Mudra - The Moment of Enlightenment
In this mudra, the Bhumisparsa Mudra, the Buddha is depicted with his left hand resting in his lap, palm up, and his right hand resting on his knee, fingertips touching the ground. This gesture represents the moment of the Buddha's enlightenment and is one of the most common gestures of the meditating Buddha.
In tradition, the gesture is also often associated with steadfastness against any temptations. This handcrafted polyresin statue is hand-painted in a bronze hue and shades for an authentic representation. There is a felt glider on the bottom to protect delicate items.
