The Kalimba with 21 Keys made of sandalwood is a high-quality musical instrument that is suitable for beginners as well as experienced players. Thanks to the sound hole, the kalimba offers a clear and precise sound that has a full body and will delight every listener. The sandalwood also provides a warm and pleasant timbre. The special feature lies in the excellent resonance properties of the hollow body of this kalimba compared to models with a solid wood block. The sound lasts longer and has a spherical effect, while the vibrations generated by the air inside the body also make the sound somewhat softer than the direct, clear voice of a solid wood block instrument.
Each Keys of the Kalimba is engraved with a note marking and can produce different sounds by gently striking it with the thumbs. The sound is tuned to A-440 Hz ex works, but can also be tuned to 432 Hz using the tuning hammer supplied.
