A ritual instrument from Buddhism
Bells have a long tradition in religious rituals. Their high-pitched sound resonates for a long time and is rich in harmonious, relaxing overtones. They are often used in meditation and sound massage, for example.
This is what characterizes the bell:
- Decorated with Buddhist auspicious motifs
- Bell as a Buddhist ritual instrument in various sizes - the larger the size, the richer the sound
- Ideally suited for yoga, meditation, sound massage or for room cleansing in Feng Shui
- Also ideal for drawing attention in meetings
The meaning of the bell
In Tibetan Buddhism, the soft-sounding bell symbolizes the female principle of purity and is held in the left hand by the handle. This position symbolizes the union of the two attributes: Path and goal are one - unity of yin and Yang.
Further interesting background information on this ritual object can be found in the attached PDF document by sound therapist Stefan Scheil (see tab above).
