Precise, long-lasting sound with wah-wah effect
The sound tubes, also known as wah-wah pipes, are made of thick-walled aluminium with a slot in the upper half. When struck above the slit, the tubes produce a long-lasting and pure sound that has been tuned precisely by Klangart®. These pure single tones are suitable for targeted sound therapy or as a signalling instrument in schools and for meditation.
The milled thumb hole in the lower part of the tube produces a special, wafting sound effect, which is created by a phase shift that we perceive as a change in tone colour. The wah-wah effect that gives the tube its name can be achieved with even up and down movements of the thumb.
The smaller tubes can also be used by children, as they are particularly easy to operate in a playful way and are also easy to hold due to their size.
Each WahWah pipe is supplied with a wooden mallet whose head is made of natural rubber. The end of the pipes is sealed with a foam rubber cover.
