Wind Gong - Feng Gong - Flat Gong - Sun Gong
The wind gong, fondly called a flat gong or feng gong, is a relatively flat disc made of polished brass. Unlike the Tam-Tam-Gong, its rim is not flanged, allowing the vibrations to spread easily into the surface.
When struck with a soft mallet, it develops a low fundamental tone. When struck harder, it begins to vibrate and develops enormous volume and loudness.

The wind gong is often called the sun gong because of its golden shimmer. Each gong is elaborately hammered by hand and is therefore a unique specimen that adorns every room.
