Wind Gong (Feng Gong / Flat Gong / Sun Gong
The wind gong, popularly called flat gong or feng gong, is a relatively flat disc made of polished brass. Unlike the tam-tam-gong, its rim is not flanged, allowing the vibrations to spread easily into the surface.
When played with a soft mallet, it develops a deep fundamental tone. With stronger impact, he begins to vibrate and unfolds here an enormous volume and volume.
Because of its shimmering gold luster, the wind gong is often called the sun gong. Each gong is elaborately hammered by hand and is thus unique, which decorates every room.
